If your server needs high Internet bandwidth, reliable power and a protected physical environment, co-location is often the best solution. You supply the server, we supply the site. Indeed, your server will sit right next to ours. It will benefit from our multiple, high speed Internet connections and secure environment.
The co-location site is in the Focus building, on Metairie Rd, between Labarre Rd and Airline Hwy. This is one of the highest points in Metairie, so there is little flooding. There is a free, lit, fenced parking lot adjacent to the building. The address is 106 Metairie Lawn Dr, Metairie LA 70001. The co-location facility is located on the 3rd floor. BellSouth's Metairie Main Central Office (NWORLAMT) is across the street. The NPA/NPX is 504/835.
The building is rated for category 5 hurricanes. It has redundant air conditioners. There is a break room with vending machines and bathrooms. Roof access is available should you need to mount an antenna. Access to the building and to the co-location facility inside are both controlled. You will be issued a security pass allowing you 24x7 access.
115 VAC power is supplied from a UPS driven by redundant banks of batteries. The batteries are charged by redundant chargers operating from the commercial mains. Should commercial power fail, there is backup generator with a week's fuel supply.
